I got the Xiaomi Notebook Pro 15 OLED with i5 and MX450. The device is really good, the build quality and display are perfect, the touchpad is good, although not quite as good as on a MacBook. The webcam is really bad. The screen is a little bit more reflective than on a MacBook, but very bright.
Linux (Kubuntu 21.04) runs fine starting with kernel 5.12 (before that, changing OLED screen brightness is not working). Fingerprint reader doesn’t work. The kernel parameter ‘i8042.nomux=1’ can help with touchpad issues.
Regarding seller communication and shipment: When I bought this device from the EU France warehouse it didn’t actually arrive yet in the warehouse and therefore could only be sent two weeks later. This by itself is not a big problem (although it was advertised as in ‘in stock’), but unacceptable was that the seller did not tell me this clearly but instead provided an invalid tracking number. Please communicate honestly with the buyers in the future.
